Juliana Forero is an independent arts professional, founder and director of Nomad Art Projects. In her role as consulting curator of contemporary art for the City of Pompano Beach, Juliana coordinates the art exhibitions for Bailey Contemporary Arts, Historic Ali Cultural Arts, and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. A native of Colombia, Juliana Forero worked as the Director of Education for Houston Center for Photography prior to relocating to South Florida. Her doctoral dissertation researched the role of the artistic community in the revitalization of the South Bronx, while working in the development department of the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
Juliana holds a Ph.D. in Arts Education, a M.A. in Arts Administration and a Museum Studies Certificate from Florida State University. Prior to these achievements, she received a B.F.A. in Visual Arts from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, a Certificate in Portrait Photography from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico. 
She has served in multiple grants panels, providing feedback to over 200 artists and arts organizations as a reviewer for the Houston Arts Alliance, Texas Council on the Arts, Florida Department of Cultural Affairs, Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art and Design, Broward Cultural Division’s Creative Investment Program (CIP), Broward Cultural Division’s Cultural Diversity Program (CDP), and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s Artist Innovation Fellowship.
