Combine practical skills with theoretical knowledge through the Scientific Diving minor. This unique program trains you in the essential techniques of underwater scientific research, directly complementing your major coursework. You'll gain the knowledge needed to design and execute field surveys and experiments using SCUBA, equipping you for hands-on marine and aquatic studies. Upon completion, you will be qualified as an American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) Diver-in-Training.

This minor is a natural fit for Marine Biology and Biology majors, requiring no additional prerequisites beyond those for your major. Students from other disciplines are also welcome to pursue this minor, provided they meet the appropriate prerequisites.
