Art and Design Lecture Series : Bridging the Gap - 
Carol Prusa

Contemporary Silverpoint and Fiberglass Artist

Born in Chicago, Carol Prusa lives and works in South Florida and exhibits internationally. She is a mid-career contemporary artist known for her meticulous silverpoint technique and use of unexpected materials from sculpted resin and fiberglass to metal leaf and LED lights. Prusa creates a new vision of the powers of the universe inspired by cosmology and all of the natural sciences. 

Prusa exhibits internationally, including Bernice Steinbaum Gallery (Miami) and Bluerider Art (Taipei). Her work is included in excellent public and private collections, including the Perez Art Museum (Miami), The Museum of Arts and Design (NYC), Telfair Art Museum (Savannah), and the Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz Collection.

NSU Music Presents Spring Concert, April 19
NSU’s Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts and its B.A. in Music program present the spring concert “A Million Dreams” featuring the NSU Mako Band and the Bossa Nova Chorale. The student musical ensembles, directed by NSU music faculty, will perform music with a rock twist, including songs from Heart, Annie Lennox and Aerosmith.

 

Portraits in Music
The Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts’ annual Portraits in Music is a musical concert that will feature performances from music students, as well as original student works and arrangements. This year enjoy some of the most uplifting, positive music from the past and present.
