Minor in Holocaust and Genocide Studies
In this interdisciplinary minor, students study the Holocaust and other acts of genocide through the lens of legal, philosophical, historical, political, and literary perspectives and analysis. Contemporary events serve as a continuous reminder of how even obscure political agendas or minor unrest and conflict can escalate into wider wars and genocide. This minor utilizes and benefits from the Craig and Barbara Weiner Holocaust Museum at NSU, creating opportunities for student research and experiential learning. Students taking this minor will be prepared to pursue graduate work in conflict resolution, diplomacy, museum studies, public history, and other fields.
