Masters of Science in Biological Sciences
Health Studies Concentration
The Master of Science in Biological Sciences, with a concentration in Health Studies, is a 12-month, 30-credit program designed to better prepare graduates of undergraduate science programs for entrance into health or medical professional schools. It offers the opportunity for students to enhance their academic records, improve test scores, and obtain a
graduate degree.
The program is geared to the student who has completed an undergraduate science degree and desires to work toward a graduate degree in the pre-health professions. The student will obtain a Master of Science degree at the end of the program that will prepare him or her for health-related professional schools (medical, dental, optometry, physician assistant, anesthesiologist assistant) and health-related employment.
The MSBS HealthStudies concentration also offers a Kaplan Test preparation course free-of-charge for enrolled students.
The M.S. Biological Sciences - Health Studies concentration has guaranteed interviews with many of NSU's health profession programs, including:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.)
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
- Master of Medical Science (Physician Assitant)
- Master of Sciences in Anesthesia (Anesthesiologist Assistant)
