Jacqueline N. Font-Guzmán, MHA, JD, Ph.D.
Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Professor
Dr. Jacqueline N. Font-Guzmán is Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion & Professor in the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is a Fulbright Scholar and the recipient of the 2017 Nova Southeastern University Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. She is also a certified mediator and arbitrator by the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. Her scholarship has been recognized at the national and international levels. Her book, Experiencing Puerto Rican Citizenship and Cultural Nationalism, was selected as the Puerto Rico Bar Association 2015 Juridical Book of the Year in 'Essay Promoting Critical Thinking and Analysis of Juridical and Social Issues.'
She has vast leadership experience in healthcare, academia, and the legal system. She has actively participated in conflict studies and diversity, equity, and inclusion through national and international conferences. She has also conducted a wide variety of training and seminars throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America. Some of the entities she has provided services to include the World Health Organization, Judicial Academy of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, Venezuela Supreme Court, Spain Supreme Court Judicial Council for Continuous Education for Judges, the University of the Basque Country in Spain, Raytheon, and US Postal Service.
Dr. Font-Guzmán has a B.A. from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; an M.S. in Health Care Administration from Saint Louis University; her J.D. degree summa cum laude from the Interamericana University of Puerto Rico; and her Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.
