Jimmy A. Arguello
During his childhood, Jimmy was captured by music. His Latin culture influence and creative rhythm was what impulse his body to move with such grace. At the age of 12, his first dance instructor Barbara Lorenzo, who carried him under her guidance and visualized his path, discovered Jimmy’s talent. He then began training in jazz, ballet, hip hop and lyrical at Dance Gallery Studios; Trained by great instructors such as Ray Young, Rosemary Baker, and Judy Ann Bassin.
In his path of faith, patience, courage and believing in himself, he has managed to work with amazing choreographers including Andre Fuentes, Wade Robson, Keith Young, Travis Payne, Maria Torres, Dave Scott, Scott Nguyen, Nakul Dev Mahajan, Criss Judd and many more. He has performed live in the Latin Grammy’s, The Latin Billboard Awards, Premio Lo
Nuestro, Premio Juventud with Olga Tanon, David Bisbal, Gloria Trevi and Fanny Lu. In 2007, he was named one of the top 10 male dancers to compete on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance”. Jimmy has filmed as a principal dancer in the Wayans Brothers’ movie “Dance Flick”. He was on tour as a Dancer and Dance Captain with the Grammy Composer/Singer A.R Rahman in the Jai Ho World Tour. He was a part of Cheer the Musical working with choreographers such as Tony G, Travis Payne, Maria Torres, and Keith Young. He had the honor to choreograph for Ricky Martin’s Premio Lo Nuestro performance in Miami and for Lucie Arnaz’s Latin Hall of Fame performance in 2014. He has assisted Keith Young with artist Prince Royce for his live performance for Premio Juventud and then merged into working on Rock of Ages the Movie as one of the assistant choreographers with Mia Michaels, working alongside Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julianne Hough, Mary J Blige, Russell Brand, Diego Boneto, and Alec Baldwin.
Jimmy has choreographed for the Miami Heat dancers for 8 seasons. You would have seen him perform with Melissa Gorga from the New Jersey Housewives on Bravo TV, choreographed by Cris Judd. He has performed with Jordin Sparks at the 365 Black Awards in New Orleans choreographed by Kevin and Marcel Wilson. He has appeared as a dancer on Dancing with the Stars for the Rock of Ages promo and assisting Mia Michaels on a Jordache Commercial starring Heidi Klum. He has worked as an Assistant Choreographer to Kevin and Marcel Wilson on “Legends”. Jimmy has been an actor/singer/dancer at the Actors Playhouse Theater in production shows like “In the Heights” as well as “West Side Story”. Jimmy performed with Ricky Martin at the Premios Juventud Concert in Miami and has recently been hired as an assistant choreographer to Nakul Dev Mahajan for season 15 of “So You Think You Can Dance”. He performed at the Mary Kay Industrial Showcase in Dallas, Texas and choreographed for Brooke Candy Live at The Venue in Ft, Lauderdale. In addition to his hard work as a professional dancer/choreographer, Jimmy has created a platform funding youth performers to attend professional workshops & intensives in New York, Los Angeles, and London through the Arguello Entertainment Artistry Scholarship Program.
