Education:
A self-proclaimed wordsmith, Carol Reynolds-Srot is a seasoned professional journalist who has spent most of her career in the newspaper industry. She honed her proven ability as an eagle-eyed editor and proficient writer at the Detroit Free Press, Long Island Newsday, the South Florida Sun Sentinel, and the Miami Herald.
She has been working full time in academia since 2013—first as the associate editor at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and currently as the university editor for the University of Miami.
Reynolds-Srot has been teaching composition to first-year students at NSU since earning her M.A. in Composition, Rhetoric, and Digital Media from the university. She also teaches copyediting online for the University of California—San Diego.
