Calypso Hernandez has a B.A in Theatre from Nova Southeastern University and her M.F.A in Lighting and Sound Design from the University of Southern Mississippi. In her time at Southern Miss she won first place for her Lighting Design for Trojan Barbie and third place for her Lighting Design for Tartuffe at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Region IV. She has had the opportunity to work with professional companies throughout South Florida including New City Player, Thinking Cap Theatre, and City Theatre. She also interned with the War Horse touring company during their time at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
