Experience the rare opportunity to see hatchling sea turtles released into the ocean! These little hatchlings were stuck in the nest and were removed by sea turtle scientists during a nest excavation. Be there as they're given a second chance to begin their epic journey into the open ocean. We're partnered with Anne Kolb Nature Center, who hosts the "Sea Turtles and Their Babies" release program. We are open to the general public on Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
We are located at 4414 N. Surf Road in Hollywood, Florida.
If you are coming from I-95, take Exit 21 (Sheridan Street) and follow that east until North Ocean Drive (A1A). Take a left on N. Ocean Drive then turn right onto Green Street (the 4th street down) and park in the lot on the right.
This parking lot is free for NSU Marine Environmental Education Center guests only and is based on a first come, first served basis. There are also several metered spaces in close proximity to the Carpenter House.
Admission is free, but we suggest a $3 donation for adults and children age 3 and over. This greatly helps offset our operational costs and support environmental outreach!
